With a new space comes new needs.

It’s been a difficult year for the arts in Kansas City. Many artist-run spaces have folded under the pressure of the pandemic, with programming canceled, revenues lost, and patrons navigating their own crises. We ourselves made the decision to move out of our West Bottoms space in order to ensure plug's survival through the Covid-19 crisis. 

What has NOT changed is plug’s commitment to bringing unseen art and artists to the attention of Kansas City audiences. We believe  contemporary art is an agent for change and instigator of dialogue. As a nonprofit gallery, free to the public, we support groundbreaking, creative work liberated from commercial interests. But we cannot do it alone.

plug is currently  fundraising campaign, running through October 28, 2020. Our #1 priority is securing gallery space for 2021 programming. Your donations will help to make opening our new space possible.
